Altiplano Ventures' investment strategy leverages product distribution by investing in local, socially responsible product manufacturing.  This strategy, in turn, contributes to the economic development of a community and the region.

When Altiplano Ventures commits to the production and distribution of a poverty alleviating technology, it seeks to make a significant equity investment in a privately held company that produces that product (presently or in the future).  Altiplano Ventures actively participates in the management of the company to ensure best practices are adopted and maintained in the production of the technology.

Altiplano Ventures adopts a patient approach that nurtures the growth of an investment and ensures that impoverished communities in South America reap the maximum benefit from the technology.  As a nonprofit organization, all net proceeds it receives from investments are reinvested in accordance with Altiplano Ventures' charitable purpose.
