RELEVANCE – first and foremost, our products must address a significant aspect of poverty facing communities in South America. We are particularly interested in products addressing health, water, and sanitation issues.

SIMPLICITY – products must be easy to use, simple to set-up, and require minimal training for households to properly use and maintain.

PORTABILITY – products must be easy to transport.

APPLICABILITY – products must be geared towards household use.

DURABILITY – products must be high-quality and durable.

LOW MANUFACTURING COMPLEXITY – products must be low-tech and have the potential to be manufactured in the area where they will be distributed.
